How does Accessible Pricing work?

  • If paying for a Weekend Pass would be a financial hardship, you can choose to pay less than the listed price. During registration, select Accessible Pricing and use the slider to select the amount you will pay. The maximum you can pay is your Weekend Pass price; the minimum you can pay is $0 or the amount currently in our Accessible Pricing Fund, if it is less than your Weekend Pass price. The Accessible Pricing Fund is funded directly by donations from higher-income community members. We may also hold a fundraiser to obtain additional funds.

Why is there work trade AND volunteering? What’s the difference?

  • Work-trade is different from volunteering, and we offer both. Work-trade means you are choosing to trade your labor for a specific dollar amount off of your ticket price. Volunteering means you are choosing to offer your labor for free in support of the event. The kinds of work you can sign up to do through work-trade and volunteering are the same.

When will class registration open? How will I know when to register?

  • Class registration will probably open in June, with a specific registration date announced at least a month ahead of time. If you have bought a Weekend Pass, you will receive an email letting you know when class registration will open. This information will also be posted on our social media and website.

What are “meta” classes?

  • Meta classes are non-dance classes on topics relating to fusion dancing. They might fall under a cultural umbrella, such as a history of certain dance or musical styles. Or they might be practical information on organizing, teaching, or DJing. We may also come up with some panel discussions on these topics.

How can I support Hi-Fi?

  • Interact with us on social media! If you have disposable income, consider donating to our Accessible Pricing Fund by buying a Sponsor Ticket or adding a Donation to your ticket through our registration platform! Talk and share info about Hi-Fi with your friends! Sign up to volunteer before, during, or after the event!

I have an accessibility need and would like to learn more about the support offered at this event.

  • We will be posting more policies and details as we refine them. Also, feel free to reach out to our Accessibility Coordinator at access@highfidelityfusion.com.

I hear there’s a performance showcase…. What is that, and how can I participate?

  • We LOVE celebrating each other and watching the incredible artistry our community can bring to the dance floor. Everyone at all experience levels and all styles of dance are encouraged to participate in this showcase. The show will be held before the Sunday evening dance, so that we can take some time to focus on performance separately from social dancing. We may also have tickets available to JUST the showcase for non-dancing friends and family of performers! There will be applications opening in the summer.
