We LOVE celebrating each other and watching the incredible artistry our community can bring to the dance floor. Everyone at all experience levels and all styles of dance are encouraged to participate in this showcase. We would love you to bring your own flavor of fusion to the stage!
We are intentionally constructing this as a time to focus on performance separately from social dancing. We also have cheap tickets available to JUST the showcase, so your non-dancing friends and family can come!
This is a dance showcase but we will not discriminate based on dance style. Solo, partner, team or any combination thereof are welcome!
We will be selecting acts based on how well-developed they are. We are looking for proposals that demonstrate strong conceptual development, including choreography, costuming, and/or personal perspective. Your act does not have to be at all complete by the application deadline, but you must show us that you have a plan in place.
TIME LIMIT: All pieces must be between 30 seconds and 5 minutes in length.
*Please time your pieces! We will not be cutting anyone off. However, this allows us to showcase as many pieces as possible within our maximum 90 min show!
This show will be formatted as an emceed variety show. Any theme or subject matter is welcome! However, we reserve the right to choose between pieces that may feel too thematically similar, or if the content is deemed offensive. Adult content is allowed, although we may reach out to you for clarification of any explicit content.
All performers will have a - 5 PM CALL TIME on Sunday Night for a tech run through + dress rehearsal.
There will only be ONE rehearsal (the dress rehearsal right before the show), so if your piece is chosen, we expect that you will be performance-ready! We encourage you to reach out to mentors and peers for feedback as you rehearse and develop your act!
